Maternity session preparation
Are you excited for your maternity photoshoot? It’s such a special time in your life! Your body and mind go through so many changes and I’m here to capture them all for you, so you can have beautiful memories to cherish for years to come. Just imagine the look on the face of your baby, when you show them those photos one day!
I want to make sure you have the best experience possible, so I put together a list that will help you prepare for your photo session.
Let’s start with the outfits of the day for your maternity photoshoot.
When it comes to indoor studio sessions, here are the things you should bring:
lacy panties – either nude, white or black seamless panties will work best under the dress.
Strapless bra – again, since you’re going to wear it under the dress, your best option would be nude, white or black.
Fancy bra – choose one the you will want to see later in your photos, since we will use it for the partially nude shots.
High heels – if you like to wear them, feel free to bring your favourite pair!
Dress or matching outfit for your little baby girl or baby boy. They’re going to love those photos in a few years!
Let’s not forget about the dads-to-be:
Keep it classic!. It’s always the best way to go! Light or dark jeans will go perfectly with a plain colour top (preferably white, black or grey and without any logo or patterns, please).
What else can you do to have the most wonderful experience and beautiful photos?
Make sure to do your nails – there are gonna be some close-ups.
Hydrate you skin with balm or lotion the day before – a little pampering goes a long way and your skin will glow beautifully in the photos.
Shave your legs, bikini and underarms (and ask your partner to shave his face and style his hair too!).
Do your hair and makeup – if you wish so, I am happy to recommend you a MUA and a hair stylist.
That’s all! The beautiful glow that only future moms have will take care of the rest and I am confident we will create the most memorable photographs for you!
Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions and I will see you soon at your maternity photoshoot!
